Winter break is fast approaching. This is a time when teachers and students are buckling down, trying to get as much done as possible before the coming break. Units of study will be wrapping up in the coming weeks. Projects will be finished. This is also a time for some extracurricular fun as well. Be on the lookout for a multitude of school events, like Pictures with Santa and the upcoming concert, as well as community events.
In the spirit of gift giving and community, we are making an extra effort to respond to all of you who have approached us to volunteer. We love it, thank you! We want to make it easy for everyone to get plugged in to volunteer, and that’s why you will start seeing volunteer opportunities listed in this newsletter. Keep an eye out in the “So you know…” section. We will list opportunities there. (You will have to be signed up for the email newsletter to receive this section as it is not viewable online.)
Thank you to Captain Hernaez for supporting the Partnership in Education (PIE) program. This will continue to be an important part of our community of volunteers at Peterson Elementary.
