I arrived early this morning to a nearly empty building. I say nearly, because even at 6:45 one of our veteran teachers was already at school putting the finishing touches on class preparations, and our custodian was busy opening up classrooms and turning on lights. With only two other people in the building, I wandered the halls and peeked into classrooms. Everything was ready. School supplies were out, seats were set, bulletin boards were up, white boards had instructions for the day already written. Peterson Elementary was ready for your students, and as additional staff entered the building, the anticipation of students arriving grew.
The day started without a hitch, and I enjoyed giant grins on students’ faces while I observed in classrooms throughout the day. We had a great day!
Tips for Parents
“Boys in Blue” Visit School
Peterson Elementary enjoys a close partnership with the USCG Police. Today we hosted a campus visit and tour of our facilities. Thanks for keeping us safe! Also, thanks for monitoring the opening of the gate for student walkers every day.
Parent-Teacher Association
The Peterson PTA is active and very supportive of our school.
If you would like to join the PTA you can attend the first meeting of the year on September 7th, or use this QR code to sign up now.
Thank you PTA for the wonderful staff breakfast on Monday.
